Titreyengol sits in the quiet pine belt just behind Side, which makes it one of the easiest bases in the whole Side-Manavgat corridor for a day on the Koprucay river. Here is exactly how the free pickup works, what the drive up to Koprulu Canyon is like, and how the rafting day unfolds - written honestly, without inventing clock times we cannot promise.
How free hotel pickup works from Titreyengol
Free hotel pickup by minibus is standard on our rafting trips, and Titreyengol is squarely inside the collection zone. Once you book, we take your hotel name and reception details so the driver knows exactly where to wait. On the morning of your trip the minibus swings through the resort, picks you up from your hotel or a nearby meeting point, and joins the other guests already on board.
We will not print an exact clock time here, because your pickup depends on where your hotel sits on the route and how many stops come before yours. What we can say with confidence: pickup is in the morning, you are collected directly from your accommodation, and you are back by late afternoon or early evening. When you book direct, we send you clear guidance on being ready in your lobby and keeping your phone reachable for the driver.
What to have ready for the driver
- Be in reception early - the minibus runs a route, so it cannot wait long at each stop.
- Bring your booking reference and a phone the driver can reach.
- Wear or pack quick-dry clothes and secure sandals or old trainers that can get wet.
- Leave valuables at the hotel - you will be on the water, and dry storage on the raft is limited.
The scenic journey up to Koprulu Canyon
From Titreyengol the drive inland to the Beskonak rafting area is around one hour and covers roughly 50 km, though this is always approximate and depends on traffic and your place on the pickup run. The road climbs steadily away from the coast, trading beach resorts for pine forest, river valleys and the folded limestone ridges of Koprulu Canyon National Park.
It is a genuinely lovely drive, so grab a window seat. The last stretch follows the Koprucay itself as it threads through the canyon, and you will often glimpse the turquoise water and the historic Roman bridge that gives the area its name. Most guests use the transfer to relax, take photos and shake off the early start before the action begins.
Your rafting day, step by step
Rather than invent a timetable, here is the honest shape of the day. After the morning pickup and the drive up, you arrive at the riverside base camp. There is time to settle in, and typically a break for breakfast or a drink before you gear up.
- Kit and safety briefing: you are fitted with a helmet and life jacket, both provided, and a trained guide runs through paddling commands and safety.
- On the water: a trained guide rides in every raft. The classic run is around 14 km through grade II-III rapids - lively enough to be exciting, gentle enough for beginners and families. There is a shorter family option of around 12 km for younger crews.
- Calm stretches: between the rapids the river eases, so there is time to float, take in the canyon walls and even swim where the guide allows. The water is cold snowmelt even in July and August, so expect a bracing splash.
- Back to base and lunch: after the run you dry off, and lunch is commonly included at the riverside restaurant before the return transfer.
You are then driven back to Titreyengol, arriving by late afternoon or early evening - in good time for dinner at your hotel.
Which tour suits Titreyengol guests
Because Titreyengol is close to the coast and well served by the pickup route, most guests here have an easy time of it. Families with children from about age six or seven usually choose the shorter, gentler route, while confident groups and couples tend to go for the classic 14 km run. The rapids are livelier in the spring snowmelt of April and May and calmer in high summer, which is worth bearing in mind when you pick your dates. For the full breakdown of routes and what is included, see our dedicated rafting from Titreyengol page, or browse all our tours to combine rafting with a jeep safari or canyon trip.
An honest word on price
We will not quote a fixed figure here, because the real price depends on several things: whether you take the classic or family route, whether you join a shared group or book privately, any combo add-ons, optional photos and video, and how far your transfer runs. As a rule, booking direct with us is usually cheaper than buying through a hotel rep or a middleman - and you always see the current, live price on the booking page before you commit. Check it there so you know exactly what you are paying.
