Trying to choose between white-water rafting and an ATV (quad) tour in Antalya? Both are among the region's most popular day trips, and honestly, neither is a wrong choice — they simply deliver adventure in very different ways.
Rafting is about river teamwork. On our Köprülü Canyon family trip (Class II–III, from €20), you sit in a raft with a certified guide and a crew of paddlers, reading the current together and cooling off in the clear canyon water. It suits people who love water, want a shared group experience, and don't mind getting soaked. For thrill-seekers there's the Tazı Canyon extreme run (Class IV–V). Every trip includes free hotel transfer, guides, gear and insurance, you pay on the tour day, lunch is included on most departures, and the season runs roughly April to October.
An ATV tour, by contrast, is about solo control. You drive your own quad along dusty forest and mountain tracks, splashing through mud and setting your own pace in a convoy. It's a great fit for anyone who wants to be in the driver's seat and doesn't necessarily want to swim. ATV tours generally run more of the year and can suit riders looking for a shorter half-day burst of fun.
Below we compare the two head-to-head, then give a clear verdict. And if you genuinely can't decide, remember: we sell rafting combos that pair the river with quad, jeep, buggy or zipline in a single day — so "why choose?" is often the best answer. Browse all tours to plan your day.
Choose rafting if you love water, want a shared team experience and lunch by the canyon; choose an ATV tour if you'd rather drive yourself and stay drier. Can't decide? Our rafting combo lets you do both in one day — that's the smart move.
White Water GR II If you want the only sounds you hear to be paddles splashing, roaring water and laughter, you are in the right place.
White Water GR III Your morning begins the easy way, with a comfortable pickup right outside your Belek hotel as the air-conditioned coach winds inland toward the Taurus…
Our Köprülü Canyon rafting is Class II–III and genuinely family-friendly, with guides, gear and insurance included. ATV tours usually require the driver to be an adult, though children can often ride as passengers. If everyone wants to take part actively, rafting is the easier family pick.
It depends on the version. Standard Köprülü rafting is fun but moderate, while the Tazı Canyon extreme run (Class IV–V) is a serious rush. A hard-driven ATV tour is exciting too, but the raw white-water intensity of Tazı is hard to beat.
Rafting soaks you completely — that's the whole experience. ATV tours are mainly dusty, though you'll often hit muddy sections and puddles, so expect splatter rather than a swim. Bring a change of clothes for either.
Yes. We sell combo tours that pair rafting with quad/ATV, jeep, buggy or zipline (€25–49), so you get river teamwork and off-road riding in a single trip with one free hotel transfer. See our combos page.
Rafting season runs roughly April to October, depending on water levels, and summer is ideal because getting wet feels great. ATV tours run through much of the year, so if you're visiting outside the rafting window, an ATV or buggy tour is the natural alternative.
Pick a tour, reserve free, and pay on the day. Free hotel transfer included.
