Rafting vs Paragliding: Which Antalya Adventure Wins?

Two of Antalya's most-Googled adrenaline days pull in opposite directions: one throws your whole crew into cold canyon water, the other lifts one person at a time into total silence a thousand metres up. Both are brilliant. The right pick just depends on who you are and who you're travelling with.

Rafting is the social, get-soaked adventure. On our white-water day tours you share a boat, paddle as a team and laugh through the rapids of Köprülü Canyon (Class II–III, genuinely family-friendly from around €20) or push into the serious Class IV–V water of Tazı Canyon. Every trip includes free hotel transfer, licensed guides, all gear and insurance, and you pay on the tour day — most tours add lunch, and the season runs roughly April to October. It's the best choice when you want a group to bond over a shared experience.

Paragliding is the opposite kind of thrill: a tandem flight strapped to a certified pilot, floating over the coast with a bird's-eye view. It's calmer than it looks, deeply memorable, and perfect for one big personal moment — though it's a solo-seat experience rather than a team one, and it depends heavily on wind and weather.

Here's the honest secret most guides won't tell you: you don't have to choose. Because rafting mornings finish by early afternoon, many visitors raft one day and fly the next — and our rafting combo tours already pair the river with jeep, quad, buggy or zipline for €25–49. Browse everything on our full tour list and build the adventure day that fits your group.

The Verdict

Travelling as a group or family and want everyone laughing together? Pick rafting. Chasing one solo, silent, top-of-the-world moment? Fly. And since a rafting morning ends early, the smart move is often both — raft with the crew, then take your personal flight — or grab one of our rafting combos to stack two thrills into a single day.

Frequently Asked

Is rafting or paragliding better for families with kids?+

Rafting, comfortably. The Köprülü Canyon route is Class II–III, guide-led and genuinely family-friendly from around €20, so everyone shares one boat. Tandem paragliding is a single-seat flight with a pilot and usually has stricter age and weight limits, making it a solo-style experience rather than a group one.

Which one is scarier?+

It depends on the version. Family rafting at Köprülü is splashy fun, while Tazı Canyon's Class IV–V water is seriously intense. Paragliding feels frightening at the take-off run, then becomes surprisingly calm and smooth once you're gliding. Neither is objectively 'scarier' — pick your flavour of adrenaline.

Can I do both rafting and paragliding on the same trip?+

Yes, and many visitors do. Our rafting day tours finish by early afternoon, so you can fly on another day. We also sell rafting combos pairing the river with jeep, quad, buggy or zipline (€25–49) if you want two adventures packed into one day.

Do I need experience for rafting?+

No experience needed for our Köprülü Canyon trips — professional guides handle the technical parts and brief you fully, and gear plus insurance are included. Tazı Canyon's extreme Class IV–V section is better suited to confident, fitter adventurers.

What's included and when do I pay for rafting?+

Free hotel transfer, licensed guides, all equipment and insurance are included, and most tours add lunch. Best of all, you pay on the tour day — no upfront online payment required to reserve your spot.
