The around one-hour drive to Koprulu Canyon

From Gundogdu it is around an hour inland, roughly 50 km, as the coast gives way to pine forest and the road climbs gently towards Koprulu Canyon National Park near Beskonak. It is a genuinely scenic run, and the temperature drops pleasantly as you gain height.

What the rafting day is like

The classic run covers around 14 km of the Koprucay, with a shorter family route of around 12 km. Rapids are grade II-III, so they are beginner- and family-friendly, livelier in the spring snowmelt of April and May and gentler in high summer. The water stays cold snowmelt even in July and August, which is exactly why it feels so good under the sun. A trained guide rides in every raft, and helmet and life jacket are provided. The family route usually welcomes children from around age 6-7. The season runs roughly from April to the end of October.
